(This prayer is especially useful for small gatherings for a Reading Service with our without a priest, but should not be used for the Oahspe Reading at Mass. For Mass, see the 1938 Church Service Book. In the absence of a priest, any member in good standing may recite the priest’s sections. The prayer should be recited after the altar has been set.)
Priest: (makes the Sign of the Name, then turns to the people) The holy table is set. Let us come together as servants of the Holy One, our Great Father Jehovih.
People: Amen.
Priest: Gather around the holy table, O Children of Light.
People: We gather together at His altar, to give Him praise.
Priest: Give praise to the Name of Jehovih, our Creator.
People: We give adoration to His Holy Name, the One we worship.
Priest: Fall down on your knees, O you people of the Father.
People: We fall down on our knees, before His great throne in heaven.
Priest: Let us worship Jehovih.
People: Amen.
Priest: Let us confess our sins.
People: Amen.
Priest: Let us give thanks to our Father.
People: Amen.
